We are a quiet peaceful gated community nestled on a hillside above the Rio Grande with unobstructed views of the majestic Sandia Mountains (10,000 feet). At twilight, the sunset paints the mountains in reddish-blue colors reminiscent of the Mountain Glow of the European Alps. C de Baca is 15 miles north of Albuquerque and 45 miles south of Santa Fe which both offer Opera, Symphony, Broadway-style, Jazz and Hispanic performances, theatre and, of course Museums and Art. The NativeAmerican community has its own museum where their historic dances are performed. There are excellent restaurants with Mexican, American, Western and European cuisine. The nearby Hyatt Tamaya Resort includes a Golf Course and Club House, and the Santa Ana Casino is just across the highway. Skiing is available on the East slopes of the Sandia Mountains or by an hour’s ride to the Santa Fe Ski area for the more adventurous skiers. A Rodeo arena is five minutes away. Houses of worship are in convenient driving distance. During the Balloon Fiesta, balloons regularly color the skies above our community and our streets sometimes become a landing area, which adds moments of special excitement and fun.
